Has anyone received the latest letter from the Juge d'instruction
du canton de Vaud?
I'm quite astonished how this judge is trying to break about any law of Switzerland and goes beyond all the rules of our legal system.
Does anyone have an idea where to complain against a judge which does very obviously break many laws in a row...

I suppose most of you are aware of the plans for signing the root zone
by ICANN/VeriSign presented at the last RIPE meeting
<http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-59/presentations/uploads//presentati…>
According to the draft timeline (slide 25), the first signed zone
should appear on one of the root name servers in January. Now would
be a good time to check whether your network is transparent for DNS
packets that use the ENDS0 extension for large segments, see for
example
<http://labs.ripe.net/content/preparing-k-root-signed-root-zone> and
<https://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/replysizetest>.
Note that all current BIND 9 releases set the EDNS0 "DO" flag (request
for DNSSEC records) and use a default segment size of 4096 bytes by
default in iterative queries even if DNSSEC is disabled in the
configuration.

We cannot access the website www.partnerhost.com from our Sunrise internet link since 10:30 (timeout, but tracert work). Some normal sunrise adsl customers also told us, that it doesn't work.
>From Swisscom and Cablecom is it normal available. Does anybody know anything about a problem to connect to servers in Vienna/Austria?

Hello,
Is it me or Caveo (AS24642) is completely down?
I cannot reach their homepage www.caveo.nl and the traceroute seems to
stop at the upstream.
I am wondering if anybody knows anything about the issue?
Cheers.

Hi everyone,
As I guess you all know, the OFCOM/BAKOM formed workgroups to cater for the FTTH deployment in Switzerland. The focus now is on defining a central exchange platform where Service Provider could book transport services from Network Operators to deliver their consumer services to the final customers Swiss-wide.
The workgroup L2b is currently accepting membership to help define this common platform from a Service Provider point of view. It is basically a matter of defining processes, use cases, scope of monitoring, troubleshooting method needed to go through a central platform that would abstract the many "city" ftth networks into a unified workflow.
The definition work would be mainly done by email but your presence to sessions, mostly in Biel (BAKOM premises), would be wished. If you feel interested in bringing your own experience to help build the Swiss Next Generation Network, then please contact me directly (recently named General Secretary of L2b group :D) before 30th of November please.
This work is on a voluntary basis and should not last further than February 2010!
Meilleures salutations.
> Freundliche Grüsse.

Hello
We experience Mail-Flooding by the UPC-Vienna Mailservers; again!
Some of our customers get the same email again and again every few minutes.
We already had that Problem in October 2008 and it was very hard to contact
the techs at Cablecom to get the issue fixed.
Any other ISP affected?
Mit freundlichen Grüssen
Benoit Panizzon
