Hey all
A friend just told me that Cybernet told him there is a Switzerlandwide Internet Problem.
Does anybody know something?
Cheers

Hi SwiNOGers,
I started searching the web for a good solution on this task years
ago. There was and is as far I can tell no actual SNMP MIB for
monitoring IPv6 BGP and OSPFv3. The only thing that could be a
solution is this already expired IETF draft
http://tools.ietf.or/html/draft-ietf-idr-bgp4-mibv2-10
Can anyone give me an idea of how you are monitoring your IPv6 BGP
peers and OSPFv3 neighbors (stuff like Status, prefixes, etc..)?
Thanks a lot,
best regards
Marco
Hi everyone
I'm looking for a cheap cli managed 24 port (or more) cisco/nortel/hp/avaya/brocade switch (not a "linksys" or other home-hardware) for my home lab to try things out. If someone has an offer or knows where to get one, please contact me off-list.
Thanks to everyone
Cheers,
Tobias

If an IX fails, path will take a different route.
ISPs do the routing, they pick the paths.

As they show the path that you are seeing to have problems with, they
are quite useful. As then somebody else could verify for you if they
have the same issue or not.
> It looks like some quite big player stopped transit thus causing a rerouting over less preferred links.
Again, stating "some quite big player" does not give anybody the chance
to even verify if that is really affected or if it is just you.
If you would include source/dest and/or a traceroute you would be told
by other people which ones and the problem could be reduced to just the
the ones that do and do not work.
> A simple answer like "no, I'm not aware of any problems" would have been enough :-)
As the Internet is a really big place, this is the answer you would then
expect from everybody.

> You're not happy with my question and I'm not happy with you answer...
You will never be happy with any question that anybody will give you as
you did not provide any specifics and thus you will never get an answer
to your real question.
The only answer that works is "the 'Internet' works, it is your problem"
Greets,

I don't recognize any common path yet...
