well, they're right.
internet would be so safe if no one would use admin rights - much more
better: no one should use computers at all.
no computer = no internet = no spam = no cybercrime = no
amazon/ebay/skype/google/<putyourfavoriteurlshere>
anyway, things will change in release 8 or 9 ;-)

Hi all
We've found a flaw in the Checkpoint SecureClient NGX, which makes it a
"not-really-secure Client"...
Does anyone on this list have a direct contact to Checkpoint Quality Control, so
I don't have to go the long and hard way of explaining the flaw to 10 different
people at our reseller...? If yes, tell them to contact me offlist, please.
(I will of course open a case at our reseller anyway, just to prove, that
resellers are usually not very helpful in very technical cases...) :-)
Cheers,
Viktor
As i know trough my contact with AOL last week, they don't have any
public list that can be queried for blacklisted IPs.
If you wanna know, if a particular IP is listed, send a mail to:
ipconfirm(a)mailtest.mx.aol.com
If you receive the 554 Error Message, then your IP is listed. You can
also use telnet to check if your IP is listed:
telnet to postmaster.aol.com and try to manually send a mail.
But hey, the best thing you can do is to call AOL Postmaster service:
001-888-212-5537
Enjoy the nice "Roboter" voices from the operators.... ;-)
Daniele Ladu
PS: I can reccomend also to use the Feedback Loop Tool from AOL, where
you can receive complaints about Spam of your defined IP Range:

Subject: [swinog] Check AOL's RBL?
Is there any way to check AOL's internal RBL about listed IP addresses?
Any help appreciated.

According to today's NetzwocheTicker and
http://www.switch.ch/about/news.html?id=112 :
"At the request of the internet community in Switzerland, SWITCH is
adding the letter "œ" to the range of characters permitted in domain
names ending in .ch and .li."
Interesting, because as mentioned in the news itself, "œ cannot be typed
in directly, since it is not even available on French keyboards"
(cf. http://www.ibt.ca/images/AZERTY_1.jpg). And it's also not on our
swiss-french/german keyboards. So *who* will use that? :)
(ok, it's also the case for many of the others chars listed under
https://nic.switch.ch/reg/staticHtmlView.action?site=faqs/idn&navKey=info.s… )
Just wondering: who from the "internet community" asked for that?
I guess this person is probably be around on Swinog list, so he/she
could explain us ... :-) And what if the "internet community" were
asking for cheaper .ch/.li domains (for example for Fr. 10.-/year) or
to remove the "minimum length three characters" limitation? :)
regards & have a nice snowy week-end!
Olivier
