Hey all
A friend just told me that Cybernet told him there is a Switzerlandwide Internet Problem.
Does anybody know something?
Cheers

Hello
Curious about the «best practice» you use for IPv6 gateways in server config / datacenter.
Votes for static gateway settings on servers? Or do you use IPv6 nd/ra? Or perhaps DHCPv6?

Dear SwiNOG community,
you received a few mails I intended for the swinog-core and not the public mailing list.
I hope I did not disclose too much private info and on the bright side you got a sneak peak of what might come up.
We will publish a preliminary agenda beginning of May.
My sincere apologies.

Dear SwiNOG community,
Do you have any contact at Net4all.ch?
It seems their custom "Oxito.com" (ie. DNS is no more working) is out
of service.
What's the status for existing clients? How to transfer existing
domain out of this customer?
Regards,
Vincent

Good SWINOGers,
I am seeking your evaluation of how well my data matches your perception.
Firstly, however, I beg pardon for cross-posting;
this thread appears in other operator mailing lists.
I am trying to reach as many operators as possible.
Please find here
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eZZeqbDaTj6nSJJDdK0iu5Xm9Z_691rR&authuser…>
a
snapshot of two datasets concerning access technologies in the metro area.
The bar chart on the left (not on the right, as inadvertently posted on
NANOG) summarizes data I collected last year from *NOGs;
the bar chart on the right summarizes data received through commissioned
market research, from Tier 1 and/or regional operators.
The y-axis shows cumulative responses for an option;
the x-axis shows monikers for the access technologies.
A second snapshot
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fMLiEGbvaD4pqCmQM75HWYoR37XaiHFQ&authuser…>
shows
the same data,
but this time with each response weighted by a conservative estimate of the
respondent's subscriber base across all geographical regions.
Here, the y-axis shows an estimate of the number of subscribers using the
access technology.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,

Hi Rémy,
Do you have a geofeed?
That’s what helped us to solve most of our geoloc problems, especially since Maxmind is now using it.
