Hello and sorry for this off-topic posting... My wife (35yo) is looking of a new job within 50km of Zug, Zurich or Lucerne. Key skill is: Programming, with emphasis on Oracle Suite, PL/SQL and general database programming. Qualification: (University) Engineering Degree from Novosibirsk (Russia) State Technical University (and additional qualification as medical doctor). She has Swiss working permit B without restrictions. Languages: Russian: fluent, English: good, German: learning and improving quickly. Used to work for (bigger) international companies. Functional Tests - only Nagios?

Hi Swinog, I'm curious if anybody knows a good framework/application, which is used for functional tests in enterprise environments. Are any solutions out there, able to perform a operational check of all services (databases, remote access, running processes...) after updates, patches or changes of security baselines? Nagios would be probably the best choice, but maybe there other concepts I'm not aware of. Thanks Luca

Debian vs. Ubuntu

Hi Swinog, I wonder if someone has any experiences with Ubuntu as server distribution? Till this day, we use only Debian - but to the end of Debian 4.0 we must upgrade every server to get still security patches. Now I consider to change to Ubuntu with the 5 year LTS versions. Cheers, Benjamin
