Hoi,
At home I have a cablecom consumer connection and it broke yesterday at around 11pm. I tried to call the 0800 668866 hotline but it seems it's .. well, hot :) because I get network busy when calling and every now and again I can traverse the call center menu but phone calls hang after a few minutes (before I speak to a human).
Perhaps others have seen troubles in the Eden of Cablecom? Symptoms are: dhcpd at 62.2.28.44 gives out net-10 (10.151.169.44) and if I change my local mac I get another rfc1918 address. The head is up and I see arp traffic on the ethernet, but otherwise IP is not possible.
Cool hack-fact: until I reset the modem this morning, established traffic (by pf statefull firewall on my home router) was live and kicking, just new sessions would not be established. I'm pretty sure cablecom is at fault, but I can't seem to reach them to talk.
Can somebody confirm? Are there other contacts I can try?
Groet, Pim
Thanks, Xaver and Daniel,

A friend of mine just called me. It seems to be the same problem in Rapperswil, too.
It now seems to have been resolved. I moved to another IPv4 pool but otherwise connectivity is restored. Thanks again for confirming I was not the only one :)

The exact same thing is happening in Basel too since a few days. A very nice side effect is massively improved performance (I'm now getting full performance 24/7, it used to be barely usable during the peak hours). This might be an indication that they are actively preparing the network for the DOCSIS 3 rollout.

Same Problem in 5605.
Tryed a couple of time to call cablecom customer service under: 0900 66 0900.
Either I don't got through the menue at all (after choosing 1 for german there was just silence, or there was silence after typing in my postcode.).
Then I just took patience. After about 10 minutes of silence I got music on hold. About all 5 minutes I got information that I could get more information about my accounts on their web-page and that the next agent would answer my call.
After 45 minutes I got through to an agent who told me that there is a smal regional problem where I live and that the techs are about to fix it.

It turns out that yes, there was a spot of trouble at Cablecom, and to their honor they fessed up to it: http://www.cablecom.ch/popup_netzwerkstatus.htm?status=erledigt
Twitter and other microblogs were full of comments, so it seems that this was pretty wide spread. It'd be great to read a postmortem, but I think this is as far as Cablecom will go regarding the outage. Well, back to work, business as usual!
groet, Pim
I remember to have read some news about a major cablecom outage: http://www.news.ch/Panne+bei+Cablecom+Kein+Internet+und+kein+Fernsehen/41941 0/detail.htm
