Current experience with NetClean WhiteBox?

Hello and greetings from Zug... we're looking for solutions to block illegal traffic (such as child pornography, ...). Requirement is, that it must be able to filter traffic in a redundant backbone, with no single point to monitor the complete traffic. Bandwidth is around 500Mbps with expected rise to 1Gbps within 3y. We thinking about buying a NetClean WhiteBox: <www.swinog.ch/meetings/swinog17/20081022_SWINOG.pdf> <http://www.netclean.com/eng/?page_id=30> Does someone uses this solution? hello swinog members the company i'am working for has problems with the "mpls matrix" service from reliance formerly known as vanco, we have RTT from 1000ms to 4000ms and high packet loss there are multiple countrys affected including germany / switzerland and liechtenstein one engineer told me that swisscom have problems with there access lines, can anyone from swisscom confirm or decline that, since the problem exist also in germany i believe they have a probleme in there network in switzerland we have two access lines to there service both on swisscom xDSL an both have the same problem thanks for any reply +41 76 370 39 79 ffo(a)sesp.ch

Extraction fees

Hi NOG! An ISP that I have had a ~4y relationship with has recently terminated the hosting for a small number of servers (3x 1U machine and a switch and a console server). For a while they were not able to return my equipment to me, but now they have sent me a friendly letter asking me to pay a significant sum of money (to the tune of 4000 CHF) extraction fee, and that I must accompany two engineers on-site for about 16 hours to safely remove the equipment. Is it common for swiss companies to terminate agreements and then send an invoice for returning the property? Pim: Take the police there with you. This should add a sobering, legalizing effect to the whole ordeal because nothing about this sounds normal OR legal! If not the police, then take your lawyer so that the company can explain the details of this 'extraction excercize' to the attourney. hi all, is anyone using Alcatel ISAM 7330 and managing it with third-party SNMP tools? There's a problem that the SNMP interface indexing is not documented in the MIBs, so it's nontrivial to derive the line names from IF-MIB entries. Using MED for outgoing traffic management

The MED attribute is often also used by content providers to be able to manage outgoing traffic by affecting the selection criteria when there is a tie in the ASPATH.
