Arbeiten in einem hauptsaechlichen Open Source Umfeld?

Hallo (Sorry, this time only in German, which is needed for the job anyway) Ich suche einen mir mindestens ebenbuertigen Arbeitskollegen welcher mit mir zusammen im Team der Informatik Support Gruppe des Departement Physik der ETH Zuerich den vielseitigen Betrieb der Server-Infrastruktur betreuen moechte. Zu weiteren Aufgaben gehoeren unter anderem die technische Beratung / Fuehrung der weiteren Teammitglieder bei der automatischen Client Installationen und Updates sowie Loesungsfindungen der an uns herangetragenen interessanten Herausforderungen im speziellen akademischen IT-Umfeld. sdsl + isdn backup

hi all i'm just wondering what you guys are using for bbcs sdsl lines for which customers are ordering also isdn backup. currently we're using for cheaper solutions a zyxel 791/792 with an external isdn TA (omni.net D/omni.net lite) and as a a more expensive solution a modular cisco router with isdn and sdsl wic. since the zyxels always making troubles - we've found more than 2 serious bugs - and zyxel forgets sometimes to fix those bugs in new firmwares and new models we're looking for a completely new solution. are there on the market any devices which we're able to use for the swisscom bbcs service and which have a built-in isdn backup interface? ... and are below the price of ciscos... ;-) greetings -steven

Hello Umbi If I understand your question right, the answer is the following: There has been a bug that our MX did announced PLAIN as an authentication method, altough SMTP-Authentication was not allowed on this server farm. This has been fixed a few months ago. (SMTP-Auth is only enabled on smtpauth.bluewin.ch for DSL- and (what used to be) HighWay- customers (ie. those having a Classic or Gold Package.) Hello folks One of our MX servers decided to forget about its configured domains after a crash-and-reboot. It is out of loadbalancing now and being reinstalled. To be sure, I checked the other MX servers and did not find any that misbehaves like that.
