Dear Swinog Core Team, Is there a dead line to complet the Agenda of the SwiNOG 15 ? For me right now it shows that we have a breakefrom 10.00 till 14.00 Clock. I hope asap the Agenda will be complet to know witch leasson are between 10.00 and 12.00 Clock. It wulde be very nice if the next time the Agend will not be finish in the last minute. best regards Marcel

Hello After a half year break from work I'm ready for a new challenge as a Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator in or around Zurich. I prefer to do concept, planning, building and upgrading work for central server infrastructures in a corporate environment or ISP setup using mostly open source software. Using the central services for unified login, storage and printing solutions to integrate with Linux, Windows and Mac workstations is something I like. My good background with the Windows client / server concept including central storage for user logins, settings and data running on Samba servers is helping me with this. Also the good fundamentals about automated centralized workstation setup and upgrade solutions is helping me be a project leader or mentor for the person doing workstation maintenance. With my wide knowledge about several aspects in the IT business, including good TCP/IP and general networking, I also can do overall concept work for the whole IT environment. Finding the needs and requirements of the users and try to realize a wise solution for it is my primary goal. I am used to act independently, but I also prefer working as part of a team. Acting foresighted and doing trouble shooting quick and to keep calm is one of my benefit. I am used to learn new stuff as needed and constantly try to keep up to date in the IT sector. Does anyone in here knows any details about the current swisscom outage? http://www.ipplus.ch/network/traffic_load_set.de.html http://www.ipplus.ch/network/traffic_load_set.de.html dns1.bluewin.ch ist not pingable, www.bluewin.ch ist extremly slow and bluewin-adsl customers are complaining about very low performance. hello swinog has anyone collected experience with a zyxel 2802 ROuter used as modem (mode "bridge")? I can't get it to work, with routing it finally works, but as bridge with my old good pfsense it won't work does someone know where is the trick? I've already upgraded the firmware... silvan

problems at bluewin?

Hi, We currently cannot reach bluewin servers. Anyone else seeing this? I tried it from Netstream, Cablecom, mhs and Hosteurope. It seems to be working sometimes, although very rarely and slow. Daniel

Attack to ch.pool.ntp.org?

Hi, my 3 servers in my personal serverfarm are all listed in the ch.pool.ntp.org zone. As I think there are also other SwiNOG people running ntpd's for that project. For about 36 hours my firewall log is growing and growing, looks like a distributed attack from a botnet. Has anyone the same problem? Any idea what could be done?
