Routing SolNet

Wir haben folgendes festgestellt. routing zu 195.2.228.1 von Cybernet aus, direkt via swissIX sehr gute ping zeiten. ab Bluewin geht es via tiscali.net und dort happerts...300ms und mehr. Die frage nun: Warum geht Bluewin nach SolNet via Tiscali und nicht auch direkt über swissIX ? Danke für eine Antwort. Gruss Rolf

opentransit probs

we are (AS12333) unable to reach some site connected thru openstransit (AS5511). already happened 2 or 3 times in january-februray. it was supposed to be a faulty linecard on a path btwn geneva and paris. and supposed to be fixed. seems it's not. Hi Swinogers. have Bluewin a problem in the Net ? the Ping Answer to Datawire (my Server Location) 195.2.228.1 is very high. 300ms and more....... greetings rolf

Hi Guys, What KVM over Ip are you guys using? The KVM over IP from ATEN CN6000 seems to be very cost effective.. (370 Euro, single server) http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/info/p135351/pid/google Any recommendations for a single server KVM over IP ? Thx a lot and best wishes Mateo

Bluewin DNS-Admin arround?

Hi List The new range from bluewin seems not be setup correctly in the DNS-server :~$ host 92.104.138.109 109.138.104.92.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer 109-138.104-92.cust.bluewin.ch. :~$ host 109-138.104-92.cust.bluewin.ch Host 109-138.104-92.cust.bluewin.ch not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) So a reverse lookup gives a name who doesn't exist. Here @nine.ch, this gives problems with services using libwrap (aka check agains /etc/hosts.[allow,deny]) If your IP doesn't resolve properly you are completly blocked from using services protected by this mechanisme. Can someone @bluewin please fix this.
