Give Away ... Cisco 7000

Hi all I have a nice Give-Away for lovers of the good /old Cisco 7000. It's a Cisco 7000 with an RSP and some Ethernet-AUI ports and Dual-PS. No more details available This box was in use for several years; there will be no warranty at all ... If you want to build a cisco-fridge, it's an ideal starting-point ... The item has to be picked-up during office-hours by yourself in Berne. btw: it's a really heavy item So make shure you have health insurance ;-) For some beers at the next SwiNOG meeting, the item is yours. It is most likely that either the software blows up or that it only ever considers the entry it receives first. Trying to work around them with a dodgy DNS setup is not the right course of action, IMHO. > If this approach works out, it could be considered. It is not illegal. Correct - it's just silly and it doesn't work as expected. 1) a properly working resolver library will return multiple records rotated once for every lookup, so you're never guaranteed to get the same answer to a reverse lookup. 2) most applications, e.g. mail-servers, that do reverse lookups do not expect more than one reply, and will always only process the first one. > It's just against what we are used to over the last 20+ years. There are a lot of E-Mail Providers (i.e. gmx) behaving like this already. If A, PTR, MX and HELO are not exactly the same (all four) the message is marked as SPAM. There are pro's and cons for this... I would not rate E-Mails solely because of those four points, but that's only me.... CU Tobias

Hi folks, I would just like to spam here also that, with thanks to the nice folks from IP-Man, we have setup and now also opened the first Swiss based SixXS PoP: chzrh01.sixxs.net. It is located at the TIX in Zurich and should have really nice low latencies to most people in Switzerland. For the folks who already have a SixXS account, they have been spammed already with an offer they can't refuse, for everybody else, maybe it is time to start peeking at this when you don't have IPv6 connectivity yet? http://www.sixxs.net/ of course, and for questions don't hesitate to contact info(a)sixxs.net (see also /contact/ on the website). For the folks who didn't gotten the word yet: http://ipv6.google.com exists and works, and also, the Great IPv6 Experiment's testing phase has already begun and it will soon go live, also with non-adult material so that it can reach a much wider audience.
