hi fredy
it's nice to see that you have started now a successful career in the journalism and politics. s
"..thanks for using the blogg2swinog mailgateway for updating my links..."
sorry freddy, but don't you think you can write normal e-mails to the mailinglist or do you just keep on pasting links?
are you so keen to push your motz-blogg on top of the google ranking? i think, people who wants to read your blogg will do - and people who don't want will not. there was a nice invention some time ago called RSS-feeds.
i personally thought at the beginning: well, a nice blogg to cover the interests of the swiss internet community. but now i have to admit, that it seems that this is your personal newsletter to gruble against everyone (aka enemies - i mean 'public' enemies).
we all know now that you don't like sunrise, swisscom, cablecom, solnet, etc.
to take out a short statistic from the last 20 entries of your blog:
- 1 positive message (wimax)
- 1 neutral message (swinog #11 - ok, we're all alkies ;-))
- 1 ad (multihomed; it's your right - it's your blog :))
- 15 motz, complain and information about swisscom/sunrise/cablecom/switch/etc.
- 2 informations about (possible) bankrupties (comparis.ch/webspace4you)
the one really funny entry i remember was the one with the broken /dev/null device.
so, please keep in mind that blog's are more or less personal diaries. if you want to really discuss swiss network stuff please use the mailinglist - i will not use your blogg for discussing internet/swinog related topics.
so, this is just my personal opinion (and i told you this already some weeks ago whereupon you wrote the /dev/null-thing; this means that my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that cybernet has bought by swisscom).

From: "SORBS Support (Matthew Sullivan)" <duhl(a)sorbs.net>
This message is being sent to muliple tickets at the same time so my
apologies for not personalising it.
All,
On Sat Oct 22 10:56:46 2005 GMT the SORBS DUHL list was updated by a
script that was manually triggered. The script contained an error which
caused most hosts in the networks listed below to get listed as Dynamic
networks. The only networks to escape listing were those with the words
static, perm, or fix in their PTR records, and only those where the
contents of the netblock were predominantly PTR records with those
words.
As of approximately 10:30am GMT today I performed a mass update on the
DUHL database, delisting some 9000 entries, most are incorrrect
listings, and some will be updated listings where valid removals have
been performed.
For this reason I am closing all these tickets as resolved, and
requesting that you recheck the database before either re-opening the
tickets or logging a new one.
Please do not respond to this ticket unless the DB lookup (
http://www.sorbs.net/cgi-bin/db ) shows you are still listed.
Please do not respond to this ticket, or create a new ticket if you are
receiving blocked messages where the DB lookup page (
http://www.sorbs.net/cgi-bin/db ) shows you are not listed, the blocks
have been removed and will take a little while to update. I have mailed
all the people subscribed to the SORBS mailing lists asking them to
perform a re-sync or cache flush to speed up the delisting process,
however there are lots who are not subscribers so will not receive the
message.
My apologies to all.
Regards,
Matthew Sullivan

Hi,
a good friend of mine is selling a VoIP switch (unsure what type, new
price was about 100k.-)
Could someone give me a tip on what the best way or place in Switzerland
is to sell this sort of thing without being a hoser and spamming mailing
lists?
Thanks,
-John
howdy,
mi culpa...
from previous swinog the signal was good but shaping made the speed too
slow. we said we would raise the shape speed. this event the speed was good
(at least quite a few guys told me) but the signal was not so great
everywhere in the room (even though we checked it the day before). we took
the feedback yesterday onboard about the signal and will install an AP in
the room by next meeting.
Cheers JIm
