A customer with a flooded telephone cable is trying to re-establish the internet connection over a GSM modem - the mobile operator is Swisscom. He is not getting any inbound traffic, e.g. SMTP on port 25. I was just wondering if this might be blocked?

Question answered, many thanks. Customer isn't much happier, but we're working on that :-)
a PC Engines box with LTE modem, and OpenVPN toward your server. Then your server would receive SMTP and whatever, and forward to the office.
I've got some spare hardware, can send out immediately.
