IronPort Switzerland is now hiring a Security Systems Engineer Job Description: The Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the rapid, successful deployment of IronPort products at customer sites. This position encompasses sales engineering, project management, integration engineering and customer support responsibilities. The Systems Engineer is engaged with the customer from the point of pre-sales evaluation through all technical processes until the purchase order is received and is responsible for customer satisfaction throughout the process and must have a passion for ensuring our customers are delighted. S/he will routinely handle Tier 2-3 customer issues that arise. Unusual failures and custom function requests are escalated to Applications Engineering for technical resolution, with the Systems Engineer maintaining control of the account and communicating with the customer throughout the process. The Systems Engineer is in charge of building a relationship with the customer. IronPort is an independent business unit of Cisco Systems. As an ASP (Application Service Provider) with own datacenters we look for engineers with following profile: - founded VMware ESX knowledge - knowledge on Linux (RedHat Enterprise) and Windows Server platforms - TCP/IP knowledge related to server (configuration and support) - knowledge on MS Terminal-Server and IIS, Citrix, IBM MQ-Series, SQL or Oracle is a plus - German and English, spoken and written.
