Hi all,
The dns resolvers of ETH Zürich are not able to resolve names within the domain sgsstudentbostader.se. As far as I can see, it is a connection Problem. The Problem is located on the remote site. I would like to contact the operator of the domain sgsstudentbostader.se.
I tried the email-addr from the SOA record, without success.
Does anybody on the list know if an e-mail list similar to swinog exists in Sweden? Google was not able to answer this question?
Kind Regards Daniel Ambauen

Where is your 'dig' output? Any sane operator would request and/or provide that.
sgsstudentbostader.se. 300 IN A 46.239.65.2 sgsstudentbostader.se. 300 IN NS ns2.sgsit.se. sgsstudentbostader.se. 300 IN NS ns1.sgsit.se. ;; Received 140 bytes from 46.239.64.98#53(46.239.64.98) in 33 ms
jeroen@noc:~$ dig +short @ns1.sgsit.se. www.sgsstudentbostader.se. any 46.239.65.68
Put that in /etc/hosts for a short time and you can at least browse their site.
Of course if you can't reach their prefix (46.239.64.34/24) you are out of luck, and that would also explain why you can't resolve anything, some silly people still think it is smart to have all eggs in one basket^Wprefix.
(and if you would have provided the dig output and related traceroutes for destinations that could have been unreachable, you would have had your answer already what was wrong ;)
I would like to contact the operator of the domain sgsstudentbostader.se.
I tried the email-addr from the SOA record, without success.
Typically those are not read or too heavily spammed causing them to be not read unfortunately.

My take..
The network 46.239.64.0/24 is not found in BGP routing table, but 46.239.64.0/21 is there, obvious nothing silly here.
The target responds from switch to ping, which means each side can talk to each other (http://www.switch.ch/network/tools/lookingglass/).
Traceroute seems quite complete until penultimate device using standard UDP traceroute, but works using ICMP works until target..
Probably a misinterpreted traceroute result..

Hi all,
The dns resolvers of ETH Zürich are not able to resolve names within the domain sgsstudentbostader.se.
