Good review, but it's not really new anymore. Heise tends to loose it's quality recently, IMHO.
Regarding this story: Schweizer Regierung prüft Verkauf der Swisscom http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/64664 it's almost a week since the topic came up (NZZ, last saturday, http://www.nzz.ch/2005/10/01/il/articleD6M4Y.html). It seems to me that Heise is ignoring Swiss sources.

Level3 apparently restored their peering with Cogent, making Cogent winning the first round. I tried to summarize some information and links to press releases in my blog (German):
