Ciao Pascal,
I was looking recently for a network engineer with about the same experience and discovered that currently Zürich area is particularly difficult.
I found 2 CCIE's, starting at 140K/13.
The bit that makes it expensive is surely VOIP & MPLS. But most of these guys could be used for design tasks too but one thing I not sure is, if one with this qualification would be interested in a provider operation job ;)
Cheers reza

Hi Stan, Hi SwiNOG,
lets resume it a bit :P
- Senior Network Engineer. - strong organizational skills - deep technology knowledge - Routing and switching in detail. - IP routing protocols: OSPF and BGP. - Good experience with Cisco routers and switches. - Good knowledge of network monitoring and management technologies. - Familiarity with SNMP management tools. - Good knowledge of security technologies. - Advanced UNIX/Linux user - DOCSIS network technologies - MPLS - VoIP and IP Telephony - Cisco certifications of Professional or Expert level are welcome. - Fluent German and English languages are the required. - Ability to communicate in French is very much welcome. - A valid driver license is also essential.
ahem... that's a long list...
I'm just wondering what the community thinks, how much should one earn in such a position with all those skills and requirements? Or, if you're the man for this position, how much do would you expect as salary?
I'm just wondering about our 2006/2007 'job market status' ;-)
Feel free not to answer :P
