We use the fully sfp model. The giga ports are taken with sfp cables for uplink. We run 100bas bx on the fa ports. But I have some special cases and I don't want regular cpe here. Hi Silvan: Hope you are doing well. It looks like there is only one model of these switches that supports SFP on the 100mbit ports. That model is ME 3400-24FS. It supports SFP on the 100mbit ports and on the 2 gbit uplink ports. The other switch from this platform that has only 10/100mbit ports (ME 3400-24TS) only supports SFP on the 2 gigabit uplink ports. The remainder of the switches in this series: ME 3400G-12CS ME 3400G-2CS Both have 24 10/100/1000 Dual purpose ports that support SFP and RJ45. I hope this helps. Hey All Quick question: do you allow/run routing protocols between your (isp-) network and your customer? If so: which protocols? If not: what reasons do you tell the customer? In particular I am interested to know about setups when they want to announce the prefix/subnet you assigned them from your PA-space back to you because they want to run redundant routers. It should allow documenting of all the physical network (ideally, also the datacenter environment), and associate physical and logical network instances with customer services and their contracts. It can also give a suggestion when you want to assign a free block: https://lirportal.ripe.net/ipanalyser/ (requires member login) We also offer an API that serves the IP Analyser data in JSON or plain text format. With plain text, we are trying to mimic the "asused" format as much as possible, but with JSON, we're actually entering new waters. The JSON structure we defined is based on our best guesses and limited user feedback during the beta period. Moving forward, I would like to know if it useful for you and contains all data you need for your IP address management. If there is data missing or it takes a lot of effort to derive certain data, please tell me. Furthermore, I want to know if there is any interest in XML format. If any swinogers have any Cisco gear that they would care to donate or just need to get rid of, please help me out. In particular, I need : 2509 or 2511 Terminal Routers (I have Octal Cables, so without Octals is OK) 2950 switches (any flavor) 3550 switches (3550-12, 3550-24 or 3550-48) Older ASA model Firewalls (5505, 5510) Any older 1800 or 2800 class routers (any flavor on those platforms is helpful!) I hope I will get some positive responses on this. This gear is only needed for home lab and will not be used for any comercial, or for profit ventures. Only to get me through the exams using heavy metal: real gear, not virtual. If the equipment is broken or only partially functional i still want it as I have a lot of experience repairing, upgrading and generally re energizing this type of gear.
