Hi list!
We are looking for a set of VDSL-modems to connect a customer. Swisscom is delivering 2-wire-copper (PtP). Which products can be recommended? Is anybody willing to sell 2 modems (or anything suitable for Master-/Slave-operation)?
TIA for hints and/or offers.

It is not allowed to run VDSL on Swisscom's copper network for good reason. The noise and cross-talk it is injecting into the other lines is far too great. The only option for the rencently ITU-approved VDSL is to run it only from Swisscom CO to customer but not customerA -> Swisscom -> customerB. On the cable custA to Swisscom you would cause severe problems for ADSL in the other direction on the same cable.
Instead of VDSL you should use G.SHDSL which is symmetric and has good bandwidth as well. For example the Tahoe modems are a good choice doing almost 10Mbit with 4wire.
Hey
I ran a 2.3mbps sdsl circuit over swisscom "2-Draht Kupferleitung" when I was still in apprenticeship. Used a pair of ZyXEL Prestige 681 Routers. The line was around 1000 meters long, according to Swisscom.
It worked fine. Only slight problem the ZyXELs themselfes was, they generate a lot of "source quench" icmp messages when the sdsl circuit goes down. Doesn't make sense to me, I think "dest unreachable (net)" would be more appropriate?
Other than this, the single, "real" problem I ever had with this solution was when Swisscom mistakenly shut my line down (!) on some idle Friday afternoon, around 5 pm and of course without further notice, because they apparently tought I cancelled the contract - even tho they had collected the monthly fee on time for about two years. It took me about 3 hours of fone calling and looping thru Swisscom support numbers to find out wtf was going on. After that, it took 'em a whole friggin week to bring the line back up ;-\
So if you don't really need high speeds, and if those ZyXELs are still on sale, it might be an alternative.
Cheers Chris

Thanks to all for the answers. I'll check your product-suggestions and will come through again if it is (not) working. :-)
Cheers Tobias
