Dear SwiNOG Community, Sadly we have to cancel SwiNOG #38 / 01.09.2022. Despite the efforts in the last weeks we could neither find enough sponsors nor enough content/speeches to organize a full day meeting at the quality you are used to. We were working hard to find solutions, but today we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the event. We appologize for this sad announcement and will communicate a new date for spring 2023 as soon as possible. In the meantime we are disucssing how we can improve the process internally and motivate more sponsors and speakers for SwiNOG. Of course we would be very happy for input from the community as in the end: this is your event. Thank you for your understanding and thank you to all that tried their best to make the event happen. bluewein.ch - automatic spamtrap?

Hello list, We are seeing some "mean" behaviour when sending an e-mail to any e-mail address ending in @bluewein.ch. Note the difference between bluewin and bluewein... As soon as an e-mail is sent from our relay to this domain, we get listed on the UCEProtect-Level1 blocklist. Yes, we can discuss whether or not this is a serious blacklist, but some mail providers actually use this service and then block our legit e-mails. Now to this domain. On HTTP all seems in order, the domain is redirected to bluewin.ch. But SMTP points to a separate mail server: mail.ict-olten.ch. Behind ict-olten.ch seems to be nobody (no website, no other results so far after a bit of research). Does anyone here in the list have information about the behaviour of this domain and who is responsible for it? Obviously a typo "bluewein" instead of "bluewin" happens pretty fast when users are registering and it's already the second or third time within a month that we get blacklisted due to a typo from users. thanks for any hints and cheers, ck

Routing issue for 185.203.112.0/24 from UPC

Hello, we got reports from UPC customers who are unable to reach 185.203.112.0/24, which we emit from AS209898 and AS207996. Other prefixes from our ASNs work, IPv6 also works. Is anyone from UPC on the list and can get in touch with me off-list to check what's wrong? UPC outbound relay - HELO hostname not in DNS. Can someone at UPC fix this?

Hi, our mailserver rejects mails from servers that don’t send a resolvable HELO-hostname. Hallo zusammen! Wir planen das erste DENOG Meeting 2022 zum 8. Februar (nur online als Stream) und suchen noch Speaker/Themen. Aufgrund der aktuellen Pandemie Situation hat die Event Orga beschlossen, dass alle Meetups in Q1-2022 virtuell stattfinden. Über das weitere Vorgehen danach werden wir euch rechtzeitig informieren. Das 1. virtuelle Meetup in 2022 steht schon wieder vor der Tür! Am Dienstag den 08. Februar ab 18.00 Uhr laden wir euch hiermit schon eimal zum virtuellen DENOG Meetup ein. Der Call for Papers ist bereits offen und wir suchen aktiv nach Vorträgen! Meetups sind der perfekte Einstieg für neue Vorträge oder erstmalige Vorträge.
