Hello dear SWINOG members I have a friend, that has a Club Music related Newsletter with over 15000 Email Adresses with double opt in and out. On the 12. July a little ISP has sent a request to hostpoint, regarding my friend and his spaming activity. The ISP told Hostpoint, that www.housestation.ch was blocked by some ISPs. As i know, sunrise has never blocked the Homepage of housestation. I think that the complaint from the ISP is a "private hate" against my friend. Therefore i wanna ask, if you can tell me if you (ISP) are blocking this Homepage, and if yes, how can we find out what the reason of the blocking is. Hi Tobias, If you are looking for VDSL, you have to know that the performance (especially the distance) is not obviously given unless you have a good control on where the copper pair is passing through (noise) and on what is done with the other copper pairs within the cable bundle (cross talking). As others already mentioned, you better should go for SHDSL modems. There you can be pretty sure that the link will work, even over up to 10-15 km. By the way, we are producing such SHDSL modems as the Music100 with more than 4'000 units delivered in Switzerland (SBB, private railways, EWs, administrations and of course some ISPs) www.keymile.com -> products -> NTU -> MUSIC100 Just come back to me (off-line) if you need additional information. hi all it's again time for a special event ;-) on the last BE (last monday) we decided to have a again BBQ/Grill-Event as we had last august. we go again for this BBQ event Oerlikerpark.
