I'm trying to figure out the best day, time and interval for our maintenance window. When do you have your maintenance windows? What interval? How does swisscom, cablecom and the others do it?
Thanks and best wishes,
Matthias

Dear list members
The date 6.6.2012 will be a unique day in the history of the Internet. The Internet Society (ISOC) has initiated World IPv6 Launch (www.worldipv6launch.org) where Internet companies are invited to activate IPv6 services, whether they are network operators, website managers or home router manufacturers. Many international companies such as Akamai, Comcast, Google, Facebook, Bing and others are participating.
There is activity in Switzerland too. Swisscom for instance has announced that they participate in World IPv6 Launch. They are currently testing their 6rd residential connections and plan to connect multiple 10'000s of users over IPv6 by June 6.
Swiss IPv6 Council launches Survey for Service Providers
Our members frequently ask for Service Providers that offer IPv6 services and what their roadmaps look like. This is the reason we decided to launch this survey and find out what your offerings and plans are.
We would like to present the information on our website (www.swissipv6council.ch), at our next member event on May 14 in Zurich and in a pressrelease. We will not publish any personalized information without your prior consent.
The survey will take about 5 to 10 minutes (10 questions), here's the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SR7NRTG
Please fill out the survey by Friday April 27, so we have enough time for the analysis. We appreciate your time and responses. And please indicate at the end who you are so we can connect with you if we have questions. We would be happy to also welcome you as a member of our council (no cost).
Would you like to present your organization or a success story?
You are most welcome to participate as a speaker at our next member event on May 14 in Zurich. Please contact us if you are interested.
Come to our World IPv6 Launch Party on June 6!
This time it is simply going to be a party. Food, drinks, music, surprises, fun and nice networking opportunity at the Laborbar in Zurich. So please join us on this historic day to celebrate together. Find details and registration on our website.
We thank you very much for supporting us in this endeavor and look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming events. If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact us at info(a)swissipv6council.ch.
