Mit freundlichen Grüssen

Don't use the bl.spamcop.net black-list to block traffic, just tag the mails. This list has way to many false positives in it mostly because the people at spamcop have no clue of how email works.
Hi,
Bluewin isn't listed at spamhaus.org anymore.. and looks like the bl.spamcop.net entries will vanish soon..

Maybe someone from the Bluewin Support misunderstood your request and sent a 0-8-15 response back, everyone makes mistakes..
'Jein'
bl.spamcop.net is notorious for 'false positives' IMHO it isn't very clever to use bl.spamcop.net without whitelisting [1] some known 'clean' providers...
GMX was also listed at spamcop.net .. and i wouldn't refuse any mail from GMX, even if they are on a blacklist..
Just my 5 cent..

Hi,

It is possible to get whitelisted at spamcop.net !
GMX was also listed at spamcop.net .. and i wouldn't refuse any mail from GMX, even if they are on a blacklist..
Any provider can call them (as we did) and tell them they should whitelist the providers MX-Ranges. Since we did that, we have no longer problems (we are not listed there over 8 month)

Since we got blacklisted by them last week because of their misconfigured spamtraps, I'd be very happy to know how you managed it. It would be very useful if you could provide the way how you did it, since I get back only stupid mails from them which try to explain, that getting out of the spam-list is possible only once.
Btw: Marcel (from Genotec): IMHO it makes no sense to block because of only one blacklist. Tagging and using more than one blacklist would be much better. I advice this mostly because of the fact, that all mail from our mailserver which was addressed to your customers has been blocked by your mailservers in that time where we had the trouble (see above) with Spamcop. Maybe you want to think about it ;-)
Martin
Cheers
Tobias

Spamcop's "solution" (read and weep): http://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/329.html
Method to list ANY domain in spamcop: - have a domain - have a mailserver - inject message to your mailserver looking like coming from domain X with proper IP of X's mx - let the message bounce off to spamcop - repeat
I thought it was common knowledge that spamcop is very bad for anything else than scoring for the last 3 years.

I think to censor it on indymedia is not an easy task, unless they get the FBI to do it (like last October: http://www.indymedia.org/fbi/).

Swisscom's Sepp Huber claims in yesterday's Sonntagsblick (page 34) that an IPSS link sold to Migros is an "apple" and an IPSS link used for BBCS backhaul connectivity is a "pear". Maybe Swisscom should send their spokesmen to some basic network education first.

apple or pear - it was the same for me - as long as there was alcohol in it ;-)
http://www.carlsberg.se/wbch3.exe?p=1001359
but in the future I will only order "nik's äpple" when doing fruit-business with swisscom. the "päroncider" remains for Alder, Huber and Co. ;-)

Sonntagszeitung claims yesterday that WEKO is investigation against Swisscom because of the Migros contract.

There was also an interview with Jens Alder in Weltwoche 10 / 10 March '05current?)--where he makes some pretty reasonable arguments against Bundesintervention, mainly based on market arguments, and contrasts against Cablecom and Wasserwerke Zug.
However, little background information is given, and they do not address their national monopoly situation very much.
