Since the adsl outage last friday we have reports (from customers and internally), that CHAP authentication is not working anymore.

Anyone got similar reports?

Hm, that's unlikely, at least as a general problem. We're using CHAP-only authentication in some configurations, and they're still working. Perhaps it's some specific problem with those customers instead? Or at least a localized/regional problem?
