Good morning
we observed already the 4th to 5th major outage of Sunrise DSL lines in different areas of Switzerland since some days.
Is someone able to tell what exactly is going on?
Hotline is talking about major backbone problems...
cheers tom
Sunrise has sayed, one of the two Routers are completly down... I'm wondering that sunrise only has two routers in Switzerland. One in Zürich... it was today down... and one in Lausanne... I think Sunrise has a big problem with the rednunance of their system.... Only two Possiblety and if one is down, they couldent route all the traffic to the other router...

Well - don't know, how many of your read the jobs.ch jobmail, but if you do, you have probably noticed, that sunrise is looking for experienced network engineers for a long time now... I guess, they don't have a technical, but a HR problem ;-)
Too bad, their offices are in the totally wrong place (from my point of view (which is of course the middle of nowhere ("Säuliamt")))
Cheers, Viktor

Fachleute von sunrise und dem Lieferanten arbeiten mit Hochdruck daran, die Störung zu beheben.
I wonder if there are any "Fachleute" left except Günti ;-P
Implementation cycles at Sunrise are now > 3 weeks for a 30 minutes BGP4 configuration job.

(P.S. Sunrise if you need some freelance "Fachleute" - this list is probably the place to hire)

what do they mean by "Lieferanten" - SC FWS? Cisco? or even the Body-Leasing-Company?
Hopefully Santa has its VPN from Telenor and not TDC otherwise this will lead to a reindeer-grounding tonight.

Well... this may explain why the links are broken: Overload because of to much traffic to bangalore :-)

Well, I suggest this is a CFO-Problem. If there's no budget for nothing, nothing will happen at all... at least: nothing positive.
And, by the way, there are other companies having problems with DSL, too...

To be honest, I prefer a smaller company over the behemoth that Sunrise is.

Oh well, Rümlang isn't any better in terms of being in the pampas.
