I have written a little documentation about "Schweizer ADSL mit PPPoA (und MTU 1500)" [1], currently it is only in German, but I hope it helps anyway.

It is primarly written for the ZyXEL Prestige 642R modell, but should work also with similar ZyXEL routers, and can probably be adaptable for other router products.

It is done now, thanks to some helpful people.
A tankyou goes to Chris Burri who contributed the English translation of my document (which I was changing all the time in the last few days ;).
Also a thankyou goes to Beat Rubischon who in the first place had this "bad" idea of changing my ADSL connection from PPPoE to PPPoA in hope to get the MTU up to 1500. The ADSL connection he had back then from IP+ was always running with a MTU of 1500, but he never got the configuration details as the router was managed by IP+. Today he also helped me with some HTML hints to give the webpage a much nicer look, check it out:

Again some more improvements went to the article.
In the chapter "Goal of this configuration change" [1] I have added some more informations why you would like to have a Path MTU of 1500 bytes, and why ICMP messages blocking is evil. ;)
