Hello everyone,
I just read that Netgear proposes a firmware upgrade for their routers to support ADSL2+ and in Germany ISP are overbidding themselves with always increasing bandwidths.
Does anyone have reliable information about what swiss broadband ISPs plan to offer in the next future?
Yes, a new low-bandwidth product.
Swiss ISP's can only offer what Swisscom gives them (for ADSL that is). And Swisscom is not very forthcoming in this regard. The only true competition they have is Cablecom.
And if you look at the speed distribution then 600/100 wins hands down with IIRC about 80% market share. Whether this is because it is enough bandwidth, or because higher bandwidth is too expensive is up to the reader.
