Hi all,
at the recent SWINOG meeting, I had the impression that a lot of
people have changed their jobs. So I took all the past lists of
participants and ran a script over it. So here is the history
graph which shows how many SWINOG meeting participants have
changed their employer since the last time they attended a SWINOG
meeting. Of course there is some fluctuation, but watch for the
peak at SWINOG 12... This means that 21% of all non-first-time
SWINOG 12 attendees have a new job.
Time to move into headhunter business?

The LIR Training Course explains the role of a Local Internet Registry
(LIR) in the distribution of IP resources and development of policies.
We also introduce attendees to the newest policies and procedures,
explain terminology, and show how to efficiently communicate with us.
The course is free of charge. We provide lunch and printed training
materials. We do not cover any of your travel expenses or accommodation.
We give all of our training courses in English.
You can find more information about the course at:
http://www.ripe.net/training/lir/
How to register:
---------------------
The target audience of the LIR Training Course is employees of new LIRs,
and new staff from established LIRs, who will deal with us as part of
their regular work.
You can register up to two people from your LIR for each course.
(If there are places left nearer the time of the course, you can
register more people).
As we give out confidential information to attendees about their own LIR,
only 'LIR contact persons' can register themselves for a course.
LIR contact persons can also register other colleagues.
To register for this course, you can either use the LIR Portal at:
https://lirportal.ripe.net/lirportal/training/course-list.html
Or the online registration form on our website:
http://www.ripe.net/cgi-bin/trainingform.pl.cgi
If you have any questions, send an e-mail to <training(a)ripe.net>.

Although all presentations were good, thumbs up especially for

Hi,
nine.ch is hiring! There is a job available as a network engineer:
http://www.nine.ch/job.php
As always, there is an "online assessment" available, which is open to
everyone. If you enjoy linux system administration and want to solve
problems that have all been derived from real-world situations, feel
free to send us your public ssh key to the mail address mentioned in the
url above. The number of seats are limited, so we are going to
prioritize real applicants.
After the assessment has finished (and we have found our candidate) we
will publish the solution along with all the files necessary to set up
the assessment under an open licence.
